About

I’m a physicist. I’ve spent years teaching machines to see: diseased plants, tissue under the microscope, skin, industry. Now I build AI for companies, and I do the work myself.

Physicist first, then founder.

I studied Physics at the University of Groningen and the University of the Basque Country, then Big Data at the University of Deusto.

I started at BBVA as a BI analyst. Then I was a computer-vision researcher at TECNALIA, a technology centre: plant-disease detection, histology images and projects for industry.

My research is on learning from very few images: few-shot learning. Models that learn from tens of examples, not millions.

From 2017 to 2026 I led Legit.Health’s AI: as co-founder and CTO, then as Chief AI Officer, and as Technical Director & PRRC. Its product is a CE-marked medical device, used by more than 2,500 clinicians. Read the case.

Now I’m independent. I build AI for very few companies at a time, and I do the work myself.
